Early Start to Accommodate I-Day Celebrations:
In commemorating 79 years of independence, the Delhi Metro will operate special services for the Red Fort event attendees set for 15 August 2025. All lines and terminal stations in Delhi will have services starting from 4:00 AM. This was confirmed by the DMRC.
Train Frequency: Early Morning Timings:
Train services will only operate every 30 minutes between 4:00 AM to 6:00 AM to all lines. This is to ensure timely accessibility for special guests, invitees, and the public to the Red Fort and other ceremonial venues.
Services resume to the normal frequency after 6:00 AM and regular connectivity for the remainder of the day is ensured.
Special Provisions for Invitees:
DMRC has issued special QR-ticket passes for attendees possessing official invitation cards from the Ministry of Defence. These QR tickets enable dedicated metro transport to the Red Fort and reimbursed travel expenses to DMRC paid directly by the Ministry.

Security and Traffic Arrangements:
