Maharashtra Film Awards
Several film personalities and artists were felicitated on Tuesday at the Maharashtra State Film Awards. Mohd Yousuf (Yusuf Pathan’s father), former India Test cricketer Chandrakant Pandit, veteran ghazal singer Bhimrao Panchale, actors Mahesh Manjrekar and Anupam Kher are the other prominent names named.
In Mumbai, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis presented Maharashtra State Film Awards 2025 to many famous artists on Tuesday. Bhimrao Panchale, Mahesh Manjrekar, Anupam Kher received awards in various categories-Ghazal Singers
Artists honored with different awards?
At the Maharashtra State Film Awards, veteran Ghazal singer Bhimrao Panchale was conferred with the Lata Mangeshkar Award for his work in music. Meanwhile, the Chitrapati V Shantaram Lifetime Achievement Award was given to film producer, actor Mahesh Manjrekar. Actress Mukta Barve Chitrapati V Shantaram Special Contribution Award for the Marathi cinema. Chief Minister praised the artists?
The awards were given by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. While addressing the meeting, Devendra Fadnavis congratulated the artists for their good works in cinema and music.
Meanwhile, in another event, India’s Permanent Representative to UNESCO Vishal sharma was awarded the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Heritage Foundation Award 2025 for promoting Indian Cultural heritage on the global stage. In June 2019, 12 forts of the Maratha state founded by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and belonging to the category of Maratha military landscapes have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
